Spain to play Portugal in Lisbon in October
With international football having been massively affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the Spanish national team have now officially announced that their first friendly of 2020 will be against Portugal in Lisbon on October 7.
The friendly match will serve as a warm-up for their two Nations League games against Switzerland on October 10 in Madrid and Ukraine in Kiev on October 14.
The friendly was originally scheduled to take place on June 5 at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, but will not be played in the Spanish capital.
With COVID-19 still present in Spain and Portugal, it will be practically impossible to play with match with the presence of fans.
Before this match, they’ll face Germany away in the Nations League on September 3.
