Roma win seven of last eight Serie A games to send a scare to Sevilla
Roma’s end to the Serie A season has sent a warning to Sevilla ahead of their Europa League tie on Thursday, August 6.
Paulo Fonseca’s side won seven and drew won of their last eight games, including a 3-1 win away to champions Juventus on the final matchday on Saturday.
Former Sevilla player Diego Perotti played an important role in Turin, scoring twice as Roma inflicted Juventus’ first home defeat of the season upon them.
Both Juventus and Roma had made changes to their XI, with each having an important European fixture coming up and neither’s position able to change in the final round.
Ahead of beating Juve, the Giallorossi had won against Torino, Fiorentina, SPAL, Hellas Verona, Brescia and Parma, while their one draw came against Inter.
