Reguilon: I don’t regret joining Sevilla
Sergio Reguilon is glad that he joined Sevilla on loan from Real Madrid last summer.
The left-back has enjoyed plenty of game time under Julen Lopetegui and is impressing with the Andalusian club.
«It can sound like a cliché, but when I first heard the name of Sevilla, it would’ve taken something very strange for me to change my mind about coming here,» Reguilon told A Balon Parado.
«For the club that it is, for the boss, for the style of play that they have, for how I came into the team, for the Spanish league… This was the best option and I don’t regret anything about it.»
Reguilon has settled in well in Seville and is enjoying his time in the south of Spain.
«It’s a small and welcoming city,» the 23-year-old stated.
«I really like the people [and] how they are, with a different charm, always good humoured.
«I especially [like] the team and the day to day. I wake up happy.
«Any teammate will tell you that I come into the dressing room and I’m always in a good mood.
«It means that I’m at ease with my teammates, my family and the club’s surroundings.»
