Leganes keep drawing their way towards relegation
Leganes need to start winning matches, but on Monday night all they could manage against a Granada side with little to play for was a 0-0 draw.
A second half penalty miss from Miguel Angel Guerrero summed up their struggles in the second half of this season.
The game didn’t start well for Javier Aguirre‘s men either, as Guido Carrillo had to go off with an injury midway through the first half and then Oscar Rodriguez only lasted to half time after coming on for the Argentine.
Just before that break, Jonathan Silva had come so close to turning in a cross at the far post, but he couldn’t quite reach the ball.
Into the second half, Leganes‘ Roger Assale won his side a penalty, but then disaster struck for Guerrero as his effort was pushed onto the crossbar by Rui Silva and as Jesus Vallejo did ever so well to clear the rebound away before it could be turned in.
Even as Lega pushed and pushed in the final stages, they couldn’t find a breakthrough and had to settle for another one-point haul.
