Albert Celades has labelled Tuesday’s Champions League encounter with Lille as Valencia’s biggest match of the season so far.

Los Che currently sit third in Group H but, with Chelsea and Ajax playing each other, they will move into the qualification spots with a win at Mestalla.

«It’s a very important game, our most important one of the season,» Celades told the press.

«We’ve already spoken about it internally. We’ve spoken and we’ll face it like this.»

Lille managed to take a point off Valencia in France two weeks ago and Celades knows how hard Tuesday’s encounter will be.

«We found it very difficult there,» Celades said. «Lille were better than us in everything other than the result.

«It’s a very difficult match, they’re a great team.

«Due to the important of the game, we have to play a much better match.»

With Mouctar Diakhaby suspended, Eliaquim Mangala could come into the centre of defence.

«[Mangala] is ready to come into the squad and, if he’s there, he’s ready to play,» Celades said.
